Post-production Report
This blog will be showing the editing process, details and justification for how I used it to create my radio show, as well as the rushes I recorded and changes I made. The whole post-production of my radio show is done with Adobe Audition, used to edit and place the audio and Samsung Voice Recorder, to record, store and create the audio.
The audio has been separated by different segments of my radio show, the first recording being the introduction and the second being the animal segment. The image above shows a screenshot of Adobe Audition with a rough, offline edit of the first half of my radio advert. The offline edit of my radio show is what we start with, as the first step to editing it is to put everything together. This is defined by ordering the radio show from beginning to end, using the scrip to guide you and leaving the audio unedited. When this is complete, it's best to save this offline version in case any alternative edits want to be made in the future or saved in case something goes wrong.
Audio Rushes

These are called rushes, which are the pure, unedited versions of that audio which can be edited and merged together to create the final product. Each recording is usable, even with any pauses, interruptions or stutters, as they can be edited or cut out to flow well with the audio. As long as it follows the script and is clear to hear without it being too loud, it can be used in the radio show where it sees fit. For example, my second segment with the animal news is usable because even though I stutter and pause in some places, that can be edited and clipped to sound decent since no parts of the script are missing.
Jingle
The multiple jingles for my radio advert was made on an online music creator called BeepBox. It's a simple and easy tool for making small tunes with a variety of instruments that can be used to create my jingles. I first made the tune on the music chart, then selected the instruments that I wanted to use in my script. I wanted to create my own jingles so my show would be unique and stand-out against the rest of the other radio shows. Above this paragraph, you can see the files I used for my jingles with it including what segment it's fore and whether it will be at the beginning or end at the segment.
The jingles I've created for my radio show have the purpose of transitioning from one segment to another. They consist of the same tune being edited to use different instruments depending on the mood of the segment. These jingles help my radio show stand out from the other radio shows that often use the same sound for each jingle, while my radio show changes it for different parts.
Edit Log
The edit log shows the audio recordings I created for my radio show. Like the rushes, these are not edited or altered in any way, but are sectioned into the categories of my radio show.
Asset Table
This table holds a variety of sound effects that were used in my radio show and all of the information about them. I used a lot of sound effects in my radio show because the main segment is a dramatization that needs to use sound effects to make the imagery more effective.
Music was also used in my radio show but not just for the sole purpose of listening. All of my tracks were either use for the effectiveness of the dramatization or as background tracks for important parts of the show, like the beginning and end.
