Squack
In this presentation I will be proposing my new brand for the Coke Cola company, and an advertising campaign to promote it. The name of my brand is Squack, an all-natural fizzy drink made with all the love of a rubber duck. I will be presenting the aspects of Squack that differentiate it from most drinks out there and the pre-production documents I used to bring it to life.
Everyone’s familiar with the iconic rubber duck. Invented in the late 1800’s and continuing to this day, these lovable avian have populated bathrooms around the globe, with their yellow squishy bodies and charming orange beaks. Not only do these guys appeal to everyone but are all over the world. They’re so cute you want to squeeze the life out of them, so why not. We like to imagine our drinks are so natural and fresh, it comes straight out of a rubber duck.
The mood board above shows the many ideas and inspiration of Squack. It consists of the colors I will use, can designs and themes, and other iconic mascots that the Squack ducks can follow.
The Squack logo is simply a black (#36353A) outline of a rubber duck with the iconic oval eyes, which are colored white. This allows the logo to blend into many colors but keep the shape of a duck, further showing that these guys are everywhere. I tried to make the logo simple and memorable but added a little touch with the eyes and the way the stomach and wings cut at the bottom, so that way it can be differentiated from other illustrations of ducks.
